Challenge

The SAP Summer Party is an opportunity for senior leadership to celebrate the achievements of their UK & Ireland team and thank them for their dedication and hard work. To make the day truly memorable, it was decided that the London based HQ should be converted into a summer carnival for the day.

Solution

Working with SAP’s internal events team, V-Ex Events project managers created an event design for an experiential summer party that was themed around summer street carnivals and traditional garden parties.

Two large marquees were erected with an indoor forest, deck chairs and flower arrangements to provide ample space for guests to enjoy a selection of summer drinks from the bar areas or to sit down and enjoy the food supplied by 8 different street food vendors.

Entertainment was provided throughout the day including a wandering musical trio, a full house band, mini-golf and giant games. We managed every aspect of the event, from the marquee installation and power management, through to the provision of extra ice pops to keep everyone cool on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year.

Result

The SAP Summer Party was a wild success with over 500 guests all enjoying the very best of the British summer weather in style. The popularity of the event has had a knock-on influence within SAP with our house band being invited back time and again and the introduction of mini-food festivals across all SAP UK & Ireland offices.
