Challenge

As part of a culture of employee celebration, SAP management wanted to honour long serving members of staff with an award evening. Bringing together employees from across the organisation, they wanted to ensure that the event be inclusive, memorable and – above all – a lot of fun.

Solution

With an intimate group of less that 100 delegates, V-Ex Events was tasked with creating a boutique dinner party to include good food, glamour and entertainment. Our events team proposed a luxury cruise along the Thames as the perfect solution to give the event a special twist.

Having identified the ideal boat, we worked with SAP’s internal teams to produce the event including crafting a bespoke menu, event branding, sourcing entertainment and managing registrations. Our creative team were also asked to produce a long service award certificate, complete with a commemorative brooch.

The V-Ex team provided a full event management service leading up to the event, as well staffing the event on-deck, allowing the SAP management team to focus on the important task of celebrating their longest serving team members.

Result

The SAP Long Service Awards proved to be an incredibly popular event with live feedback on the night proving that the employees felt valued by their senior leaders. Photos from the night were shared across social media with the hashtag #LifeAtSAP which helped ensure SAP’s commitment to employee engagement was well publicised.
