Challenge

DRUPA is the world’s largest trade show for the print industry and KAMA GmbH wanted to make a splash. Where in previous years the KAMA stand had followed traditional aesthetics, this year management wanted to re-launch the brand in an imaginative and modern way. Having booked a prominent stand in Hall 1 of the exhibition – the company turned to V-Ex Events to produce a KAMA stand like nothing anyone had seen before.

Solution

The first priority in designing the stand was to ensure that there was ample space for the 3 live demonstrator models that were on the stand. V-Ex Events worked with the machine operators to understand their workflow and produce a layout that worked operationally, while still giving maximum viewing advantage to passersby.

The look and feel of the stand was the next priority ,so attention was placed on the graphic opportunity presented by the 26 metre long back wall. Our graphic designers produced an eye catching ‘people focussed’ design which was complemented by two large logos which extended to 6m high and were visible from the hall’s main entrance.

A vibrant networking space with poser tables, coffee station and bespoke built touchscreen app was also integrated into the stand – with several large screens included to play promotional content of the full range from KAMA GmbH. A private, boutique meeting space was also provided which was used for commercial discussions.

V-Ex Events worked alongside KAMA GmbH throughout the design phase of the project and managed all aspects of the logistics and build operations.

Result

The KAMA GmbH stand was a roaring success with hundreds of visitors coming on to the stand to watch their machines in action and speak to the sales team. Not only did KAMA exceed their expectations on new leads for the show, they were also able to secure several new contracts for new business while on the stand.
